- Have you ever had a time when you needed a friend, and they didn’t come through? How did you feel?
- Read John 11:1-44: What impacts you the most in this story?
- How do you think Mary and Martha felt when Jesus waited two days to go see Lazarus?
- How do you deal with waiting after you’ve prayed and asked God for something you know He’s capable of doing? What have you learned about yourself and about God during that time?
- When Jesus finally arrived in Bethany, the way He responded to Mary and Martha was very different from what they expected but it was exactly what they needed. What does that tell you about the character of Jesus?
